Diary of a Rock Balancer ::

Stone Balance Art created and photographed by Michael Grab — 28 February 2016 — South Island, New Zealand ::

After getting flushed out of Fiordland and Mt Aspiring NP’s by sustained rain, I decided to drive north to Franz Josef Glacier in hopes of sun… and to potentially find some super funky rocks. . .

Potential realized!

The most important part of this part was preserving the moss as much as possible, meaning slow steady building, and soft dismantle. and I’m happy to report that no moss was harmed in the making of this balance :)

i guess all else i can say is that this was powerful. highly energetic. walking up and back seemed to have renewing qualities. i’ll leave it there for now.
