Diary of a Rock Balancer ::
Stone Balance Art created and photographed by Michael Grab — 28 February 2016 — South Island, New Zealand ::
After getting flushed out of Fiordland and Mt Aspiring NP’s by sustained rain, I decided to drive north to Franz Josef Glacier in hopes of sun… and to potentially find some super funky rocks. . .
The most important part of this part was preserving the moss as much as possible, meaning slow steady building, and soft dismantle. and I’m happy to report that no moss was harmed in the making of this balance :)
i guess all else i can say is that this was powerful. highly energetic. walking up and back seemed to have renewing qualities. i’ll leave it there for now.
Oh wow!! I’ve just noticed that you are here in NZ :) !! Welcome. I love this shot. If you come to Dunedin, I would love to watch you work. :)
That is absolutely amazing! ! ! ! ! !

Amazing. Rocks are still in balance moreover the upper piece have vegetal parts that can lose moisture and weight cracking the gravity point….!! Also very nice as usually. Congratulations !!

I’ll ask you this question time and again how are you always able to find the same crown piece? LOL!! :-) Do you carry that in your bag? ;-)

Your work makes me very shocked, it is hard to imagine stone can be so. That’s great

Have you made it to arthurs pass yet? Castle hill is one of the “earths natural energy centres?”. Weirdest, craziest rocks ever (lots to big for stacking, but still…https://www.google.co.nz/imgres?imgurl=https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/e/eb/Castle_Hill_New_Zealand.jpg&imgrefurl=https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Castle_Hill,_New_Zealand&h=660&w=993&tbnid=hxFZaV0KZoLk8M:&tbnh=160&tbnw=240&docid=PRjX8XxWBsGRfM&itg=1&usg=__iwRLqKwFCO6yPRG3wEaN5JaZeWQ=
