“Always be on the lookout for the presence of wonder.” ~ E.B. White

Here I decided to explore a new spot on the edge of the lake… a place I came to identify as the “cotton spot” for the numerous cotton plants growing all around in the nearby grass. this place was nothing short of enchanting, especially in the mornings.. unlike my previous lake spot, this one had much more variety of rock types, shapes, and colors… I found the drastic difference in rock variety strange for being so close to the “pier spot” which can be seen here.

Another interesting aspect of the cotton spot was the dead wood laying around everywhere… along with dead logs.. Wood can make an excellent combination with stone balance for the sake of land art.. :)  not sure about you but envisioned a definite lake creature of sorts, or even some kind of ET…

I say the mornings were enchanting because of the mist that often formed in this small pocket on the edge of the lake.  All-in-all creating a very magical feeling in conjunction with stone balance.. well, magical even without the balances.. 3 of the 4 pictures here were taken the morning after creation when mist was heavy over the lake.. :)  I can only describe the feeling in person, with all the flowing elements, WONDERFUL and MAGICAL… Even otherworldly.. topped with a deafening silence… leaving me full of appreciation.
