The most memorable part of today was this morning when I first arrived to the creek… The particular balance is not pictured here because it collapsed before the picture… BUT… that’s the way it is sometimes…

The memorable part was a couple and their son who were at the creek….. They had no idea what I was doing at first as i crawled into the creek and started rummaging for rocks under the muddy water. After some time, I completed a rather challenging balance… with a LARGE rock perched on a very small round rock…

I remember that the woman was in a complete state of awe as she saw me lift my hands away.. It inspires me greatly when people have a very moving experience with my balances.. :)  She sat and stared at the rocks for at least 30 minutes… contemplating… asking questions… :)  talking about how the balance really touched her spirit in a way.. :)

Her son even started making his own land art creation on the edge of the creek with sand and sticks.. :D perhaps an upcoming Goldsworthy? ;)

this is one of those liminal times… both in life and on the creek… interesting how it synchronizes like this… My life is in the midst of some heavy change… just as the creek is quickly morphing from a seemingly long winter straight into summer… I feel the shifting in myself as well.  but with everything, no matter how turbulent the change may be.. the key is to appreciate.  Everything! is a learning experience…
