Diary of a Rock Balancer ::
Stone Balance Art created (03 May 2016) and photographed by Michael Grab — 05 May 2016 — Istria, Croatia ::
Closer look at an old thingy . .
With my usual rate of creation, it is quite easy to get ahead of myself. I prioritize new creation over almost everything else. In each instance obsessing over the photography on par with the finest balance points and aesthetics of each arrangement. In short, i’m a bit of a psycho. And that is OK!
I said i would revisit this creation, soooooo, here’s a closer look into my wishing well thingy, Diameter here was roughly 40 cm. average pebble size matching my thumbnail.
I also collected more pebbles and rounded out the circle… :)
Enjoy

Beautiful!
U r so amazing
Instantly reminded me of the colorful hot springs in Yellowstone, such as Morning Glory pool. Feels like it was very much emulated through the colorful rings of stone, especially when looking at the photo you had posted in the comment below. Beautiful work as always..
Not only great but a good sense of humor too!
Amazing! Beautiful! Creative!
It s perfectionism, foresight, creativity, fine motor control, perseverance, experience, determination & a love of nature & beauty. It s art with its honest fundamental spontaneity, experimentation combined with trial & error
I’m so sorry they did that to you. :(

Beautiful!
<3 <3 <3 So much love for this
:)
I wanna see how it looks now! After nature blurred the edges a bit..
Ha.. More like nature blurred the edges while humans… Well… Acted like humans..
Omg if you want a souvenir go to the gift shop! :( mothersuckers…
Michael – so frustrating to see what humans have done to this beautiful creation of yours. I was just reading a blog about not balancing rocks and I was thinking of you the whole time I was reading it (and getting aggravated). I was so happy to see your comment in the comments section. Keep doing what you’re doing!
Gravity Glue
Why would there be a blog about not balancing Rocks haha what blog I want to read it
Humans who destroy beauty suck. Gravity Glue, your art is amazing!
Probably children.
Either way it’s totally fine. Not something to be mad about… And there is no such thing as ‘rotten children’ without rotten adults. I’ve bin wrong before tho. Who knows..
It’s natural for children to do this kind of deconstruction. Nothing rotten about it. Like kicking down sand castles:)
There’s a whole community of adults who hate rock balancing and knock them down whenever they see them. I just found out about it last week when I saw a bunch of rock stacks knocked down by kids, at the direction of an adult claiming, “Leave No Trace.” Don’t get me started.
I believe “leave no trace” refers more to coke bottles than to natural objects……..people can be so narrow-minded.
