Something i really enjoy doing as an added challenge is building arrangements in a way so they completely disappear upon collapse. Like this one. Each rock depends on the combined weight above it to hold in position.
The most difficult part to involve in a completely programmed collapse is the base rock(s). Normally it is a tip for beginners to make sure and have the most solid base possible for obvious reasons. So I would consider programmed collapse as more of an advanced and even playful technique. zero footprint.
I teach art at an inner city high school. Your film is a gift I am going to give my students today. Thank you!
