Lake Constance Day 2

Most if not all rock balancers very much enjoy the solitude of balancing in various natural settings.. Yesterday Heiko and I came down to this spot on a sunny afternoon… people EVERYWHERE.. much traffic everything.. those times can be fun to balance also. But I very much enjoyed today under an overcast sky and almost no people. The dominant sound then becomes not people, but the nature of waves in flux.  The atmosphere becomes much more intimate under solitary conditions.. Although Heiko and I came down here together, it is okay because we both understand the other’s desire to balance. Verbal communication is unnecessary as we both prefer to really tune into the rocks we are working with.

I must say that the shores of Lake constance host some of my favorite rocks yet. For example the top rock in this balance. It has a perfect spiral flow to it… And the streaks of grey and charcoal really captured my attention.. An interesting aspect of these photos is the background.  The image includes three different European countries.. Germany in the foreground. Switzerland in the right background. And the Austrian alps in the left background. I LOVE this place… The air feels fresh. The Lake is powerful. and the mood is quiet. <3
