This is now Day 6 since the initial inception of my Garden. I was hoping for snow, and just happened to get some.. a tiny bit. :) Nonetheless, my awareness was thrown into a snowier landscape after extended dryness. Normally in these conditions, my attention shifts a bit to all the interesting ice formation around the water’s edges. Here is a photo upon arrival, and then a photo after splashing water. I love how the rocks dry and almost disappear into their environment… timeless.
Today took a different turn as my attention mostly shifted away from the immediate garden and onto the location of the distant garden. The distant garden was a familiar place, with many visitations in past seasons. I love the space and have always felt drawn to it since I initially discovered it. It is the same place that I deemed “the hummingbird spot” during my summer visits. I’m not surprised that my attention was pulled back for a closer visit.
This is another instance where something amazing happened without planning it. My original intention was to take a photo of a heart rock balance with some ice in the picture… The closest opportunity I saw was building up against the waterfall where the surrounding walls were covered in hanging ice. Once I had the rocks balanced, I was in love with yet another combination of ice, flowing water, and rocks…
The weather had been calm for nearly a week now and was scheduled to drop below freezing for a full day… so I left the balances standing to see what would happen in sub zero temperatures with a constant splash of water.. The result was more than I could’ve hoped for… I balanced the rocks, and nature followed suit with the weather and surrounding elements. The result was BEAUTIFUL…

well this case in particular, there is ZERO room for error because any error would result destruction of surrounding ice :) so definitely much practice required :)
