“We do not grow absolutely, chronologically. We grow sometimes in one dimension, and not in another; unevenly. We grow partially. We are relative. We are mature in one realm, childish in another. The past, present, and future mingle and pull us backward, forward, or fix us in the present. We are made up of layers, cells, constellations.”

~ Anaïs Nin

This was not an easy photo to execute. it requires perfect timing of tide levels with sunset, and only this time of year while the sun sets further to south. If the tide is too high then the mirror effect disappears. too low and there is no water at all. not to mention having a creation worthy of the spot. high tide shifts by roughly an hour each day, so the synchronicity happens maybe 2 or 3 times per month. and i reckon the sun sets in this frame for about 3 months each year. music is math.
