Forest Fae . . .

somewhere in a remote New Zealand forest

i collected these rocks from a nearby creek. hardest ones i could find. also a pretty green color. something i’ll remember about this spot was a couple of fairly curious small birds.  they were highly interested in my activities.. sometimes i felt my space being violated.. ha

interesting bit of trivia i learned on an Air New Zealand flight into Queenstown:

over 54,000 Kiwis identify their religion as . .. Jedi

so it appears i’m in the right place! :))

  1. I cannot get over it, you have been over here in Aotearoa? I always thought that Boulder Bank in Nelson would be a perfect spot for you as well, I was joking we would need to invite you….. don’t tell me that even the little stacks on an old tree at Cable Bay were your work…. it instantly reminded me on you. I believed that I had liked your fb page already to find out yesterday that I had not…. therefore I made sure that my friends will know you as well from now on. I would have loved to see you doing this here. Will you come again some day???????

  2. New Zealand is the most magical country. The topography, geography & geology will have you spellbound… My neice has just come back from a few months in a campervan traveling through glaciers etc etc. The photos were sublime. I look forward to seeing your forays into the wilderness. As an Australian we see N.Z as our cousins. There are so many kiwis here! Bless them.

  3. I am a counselor for emotionally disturbed and autistic kids, and I have started to get them to stack and balance rocks on a nature trail near our school. They are really getting a kick out of it, especially the autistic kids. It gives them an artistic outlet, where their overly intense focus is actually beneficial for them.
